I took my first photography class in 1996, and fell in love with film right away. I studied television production and film in college, but eventually majored in English Literature at U.C.L.A. because I wanted to learn to tell a story through film.
After graduating from college and working in various advertising jobs, I eventually earned my Master of Arts degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. I then decided to combine what I learned about visual communication and story-telling into photojournalism. And that eventually led me to dog photography.
I’m now working in pet photography as a professional dog photographer in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego, and love taking pictures of pets in local parks and beaches across Southern California. I especially love taking photos in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and Huntington Beach (where I grew up).
You obviously have many options when choosing a dog photographer, but I think my unique approach to story-telling and photo-journalism helps me capture your pet’s true personality in photos.
MY DOG PHOTOGRAPHY APPROACH
- I want to tell a story in my photography by capturing the best moments of your pet – that’s why I ask you to complete a questionnaire before I visit to have a good understanding of who your dog or pet is.
- Unlike many dog photographers, I don’t keep the digital photo files of your pet for myself. I provide you all original files so that you can print photos at your convenience. I don’t believe you should be charged extra fees from me to print the pictures you want.
- I also give you access to a photo gallery that you can share with your family and friends. This gallery does not have a time-frame, so you may share the photos with friends and family for as long as you want.
